“I am absolutely delighted with the results of my whitening and re-contouring treatment. I decided to have it done for my wedding and with all the expense of the big day I almost postponed the treatment but I am so glad I didn’t. It was worth every penny and by far exceeded my expectations”

Tooth Coloured Fillings
In the past fillings were always made out of silver-coloured amalgam. Whilst metal fillings work perfectly well, this material has one big disadvantage – it doesn’t resemble your natural teeth in appearance and this can cause you to feel embarrassed when smiling or laughing.
At Manor Dental Health in Hull, we do provide amalgam fillings as they are durable and cost effective, but our first choice for an aesthetic result would always be tooth-coloured material.
We can use either a special type of reinforced plastic called composite, or a variety of different ceramic materials related to glass or porcelain. This means that we can create beautiful, natural-looking fillings that won’t spoil your smile.

- Laugh with confidence with virtually invisible white fillings
- Tooth coloured fillings are our first choice for optimum aesthetic results
- Bonding material can be used as a minimally invasive alternative
- Composite bonding is quick, painless and reversible

What is composite bonding?
Composite bonding conserves healthy tissue and naturally strengthens the remaining tooth providing a quick, painless and reversible solution to cosmetic problems, such as gaps, chips and discolouration. As well as being ideal for invisible fillings, it can be used for minimally invasive composite re-contouring as it does not require much preparation of the tooth surface, and for cosmetically closing gaps.
Layers of super-strong and long lasting, tooth-coloured filling material is perfectly matched and built up to look like natural teeth, with amazing results.
Erosion
Our diets today contain a lot of acidic liquids and foods. The reduced pH can dissolve the strong surface enamel of our teeth resulting in this pitted appearance. We restored this using tooth coloured filling bonded to the tooth.
Metal filling replacement
This patient is 80 years young and as you can see, the old unsightly metal filling was replaced with tooth coloured one.
